Our Signal Space research and map of the 14,000-plus mobile phone base stations in New York City is featured in Shannon Mattern’s superb book, Code and Clay, Data and Dirt: Five Thousand Years of Urban Media, which examines the way information has shaped our cities. Shannon’s research into the relationship of information media and urbanism is fascinating and important scholarship, and we are so pleased to play a small part in it.
The book and our research project are also featured in a review in Landscape Architecture Magazine’s July issue.
