We are team players. Successful collaboration with clients and expert partners is at the heart of every project we work on. We are curious and cooperative and view every collaboration as a learning opportunity.

Sarah Oppenheimer Collaboration
MKCA worked with artist Sarah Oppenheimer and engineers at Buro Happold to devise the geometry, structure, and architectural integration of the site specific artwork, C-010106.
-
Conservation Garden Aesthetics
Working in collaboration with Local Office Landscape Architecture and conservation botanists at SUNY, we developed a conservation-minded planting palette for our Nano-Biome Building Skin that preserves endangered native New York State ferns that are disappearing from the wild due to overdevelopment and climate change.
-
Our collaborators include leading designers, scientists, artists, engineers, and manufacturers. We employ tools, working methods, and capabilities associated with much larger practices, delivered with a boutique level of service with meticulous attention to detail.
-
Gradient Building Skin
Working with manufacturer Boston Valley Terra Cotta, we developed a highly sculptural terra cotta rainscreen facade system with an undulating texture – an exceptionally crafted, artisan product that installs simply and inexpensively on a conventional rain screen track system.
-
We work with leading design, development, technology, and manufacturing partners both large and small, and we deliver value to collaborative projects by building tools and platforms for communication and visualization. And we've leveraged our own design and digital expertise to enhance the capabilities of our manufacturing partners.
-
We are constantly building great teams to deliver high quality design work that is well conceived and well executed, and we draw upon a broad range of expertise – both ours, and that of our network – to best tackle each project.
